PUNKIN ALE
Brewery: Dogfish Head Brewery
Location: 320 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth, DE 19971
Style: Pumpkin Ale ABV - 7%
Review: Color - light brown orange. Nose - cinnamon allspice and nice off white head
First half - spicy cinnamon almost hot, base beer is mild ale with medium carbonation. Spicy cinnamon maintains thru middle and leaves slight bite on tongue like red hots candy at end. Second half - spicy cinnamon flavor dominates leaving a not unpleasant heat on tongue, with some hints of nutmeg and allspice. Malt base holds up well to the spices, overall a good pumpkin ale but liking red hot cinnamon flavor is a must.

PUMPKIN ALE
Brewery: Schlafly Beer
Location: 2100 Locust St., St.Louis, MO 63103
Style: Pumpkin Ale ABV: 8%
Review: Color - brown with some ruby notes beige head which recedes fairly quickly. Nose - Spicy - Allspice, Nutmeg and Cinnamon.
First Half - Spices blend with base beer creating almost a cola like taste with spiced background finishes with spice on tongue but unlike dogfish no heat.
Second half - base ale assertive enough to blend well with spices with some hints of cola or vanilla. Some nutmeg comes on top of the other flavors with a smooth non bity finish. Base beer complements pumpkin spices well. This is an excellent Pumpkin Ale.

PUMKING
Brewery: Southern Tier Brewing Company
Location: 2072 Stoneman Circle Lakewood, NY 14750
Style: Imperial Pumpkin Ale ABV: 8.7%
Review: Color - light orange brown very thin slight white head. Nose is cinnamon apple like.
First half - Allspice with hints of vanilla, creamy mouthfeel. Base beer is assertive and quite strong, finishes with bite, some heat and mild booziness
Second half - vanilla with spices blend together and is dominant flavor, solid malt backbone makes strength and booziness less intrusive but it’s a little over the top for me. Fair to Good pumpkin ale.

Style: Pumpkin Ale ABV: 6 %
Review: Color is yellow with hints of orange. It is not hazy but also not clear. Mild white head. The nose is amazingly pumpkin with spice.
First half is pumpkin pie flavor with mild spice. Not over powering but very on spot and tasty. Base beer taste like a mild cream ale or blonds ale giving it a creamy mouthfeel.
Second half -light malts blend nicely and do not overpower spices, allspice with hints of nutmeg and vanilla flavors. It finishes mildly dry with no bite, giving it a refreshing finish with a final nutmeg and vanilla flavor. This is a world class Pumpkin Ale - seek it out!
